CDHB Nursing & Midwifery job applicants from overseas

Work Permits and Visas

If you are not a New Zealand or Australian citizen or resident, you must apply for a work permit at your nearest New Zealand Embassy or High Commission. This may take several weeks, so we recommend that you begin this process immediately.

CDHB – NZ Immigration Accredited Employer

The CDHB holds a Certificate of Accreditation with New Zealand Immigration Service. As an accredited employer CDHB is entitled to recruit workers or residents with the skills or talents required. The
New Zealand Immigration Services website provides details on eligibility.

If you do not qualify to apply under the CDHB’s Certificate of Accreditation there may be other visas or permits which you may also be eligible for. Some of these are listed below. Full details can be found on the
New Zealand Immigration Service website.

If you want to live and work in New Zealand permanently, there are a number of options available.
